My top Notion templates | June 2020

For those of you who might not know, I’ve been using Notion for around 6 months now and it’s probably the one tool that has really changed my whole workflow and methods of using my time a lot more productively.

You can find this post and more over on The Kieran Glover Blog.

What is Notion

In its most basic form, Notion is a note taking app. But once you start to understand that every line you write in Notion can become it’s own page, you can start to creatively build your own productivity systems and personal wiki’s. I did a full introductory video to Notion which goes into more detail. Feel free to give it a watch.

My top Notion templates of June 2020

As I use Notion day in day out, I’m often checking out new templates to find exciting and creative ways to organize my stuff. Here’s some of my favorites templates I’ve come across in June 2020

The topic forest

The original creation of programmer, entrepreneur and Notion expert Valentin Perez, the topics forest which allows you to build up your digital brain by storing your best thoughts and ideas and putting them into categories. This allows you to easily navigate and reference for new ideas, articles and more.

The reading list

As I recently posted over on my Instagram, my wife bought me a Kindle recently which i’ve been loving! And I’ve really found it’s been such a game changer when it comes to building reading habits. Just the portability and lightness of having a library in my bag has really made the act of reading more accessible to me.

To accompany this, I’ve been loving the reading list template that has really been a fun way for me to organize my reading list and quickly record some notes as I’m reading. I can then reference these notes later when writing book reviews or move some really striking passages to my topics forest.

You can find the reading list template from the Notion template gallery. Check it out here or sign up to Notion for free.

Life Wiki

The third and final template that I haven’t checked out but have been doing in my own style already us the life wiki.

The life wiki is exactly as it sounds:

A bird’s-eye view of your life in one spot. Add in your most important pages, keep track of the week ahead and stay inspired with your favorite quote. Customize this page to become your second brain.

As a self-titled organization addict, having all my life stuff mapped out like this gives me easy access to all my other important pages, with a top level overview of the most urgent things I need to get done in the week ahead.

This is shortly going to become my personal ‘Homepage’ setup on my Notion setup — but I can see it being used as the perfect introduction to any Notion newbie. Check it out!

Last words

I’ve recently been posting more and more about Notion and how it’s really supercharged my productivity. I’ve got more in the backlog too, so make sure to check out some of my other resources and content from around the web if you’re interested.
